Privacy Notice
This notice explains what happens to your information when you visit darwingroup.net. It covers the website and nothing else. If we work together under a signed agreement, the handling of data under that engagement is governed by the agreement itself, not by this page.
01What this site collects
Nothing.
There are no forms on this website, no accounts to create, no cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels and no local storage. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not know that you visited.
The buttons on this site link out to a scheduling service run by a third party. Nothing is loaded from that service while you are reading, and it learns nothing about you unless you choose to click through. What happens if you do is set out in section 04.
02Server logs
The service that hosts this website may keep standard access logs, which typically record an IP address, a browser user-agent string and the time of the request. These are generated by the host as a normal part of serving a page, are used for security and reliability, and are not linked by us to any individual.
03Third parties
This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser makes a request to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, and Google receives your IP address and basic browser information as part of that request. Google’s handling of that data is covered by their own privacy policy. This is the only third party that receives anything simply because you opened the page. Everything else on this site is a plain link, which means no other service is contacted, and none of them can see you, until you deliberately click through.
04If you get in touch
There are two ways to contact us from this site, and they are handled differently.
By email. If you write to us we will hold your email address and the contents of your message so that we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.
By booking a call. The booking buttons take you to Cal.com, a scheduling service we use to run our calendar. If you book, you give your name, your email address and whatever else that form asks for, and Cal.com passes the booking to us. Cal.com handles that information under its own privacy policy, which you should read if it matters to you. We hold what they send us for the same reason and for the same period as any other correspondence.
In both cases: we do not add you to a mailing list, we do not sell or share your details, and we do not pass them to anyone else without your say-so.
05How long we keep it
Correspondence is kept for as long as it is relevant to the conversation or to a live commercial relationship. If you ask us to delete it, we will.
06Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Because this site collects nothing, in practice that will only ever concern email correspondence.
- To make any of those requests, email michael@darwingroup.net.
- We will respond by the end of the next business day.
07Children
This website is aimed at businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
08Changes to this notice
If this notice changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top. We will not make a change quietly and backdate it.
